Internship Roles
We are looking for Science Communication & Media Interns on the Behaviour 2025 team to:

1. Cover talks, workshops, and events for the conference audience
2. Create engaging social media content and live updates
3. Interview participants and highlight key moments across social media platforms
4. Contribute to post-event summaries and reports

Your Mentors
Behaviour 2025 is partnering with Mongabay India, the India bureau of environment news portal Mongabay to mentor our interns during the conference. The outputs from the internship would be published on the Behaviour 2025 website as conference proceedings.

Further, interns interested in science journalism will get the opportunity to pitch a story to Mongabay India. The mentors will guide the interns through the ideation and pitching process, interviewing scientists and the news production cycle. Articles selected for publishing on Mongabay India will be paid standard rates.

Who Should Apply

1. Students or early-career researchers with a basic understanding of animal behaviour
2. Strong written and spoken English skills
3. Interest or experience in science communication, media and journalism

Time Commitment

1. Start shortly before the conference (after the schedule is released)
2. Participate in a brief orientation session
3. Actively contribute during the conference week (Aug 25–30)
4. Wrap up coverage post-event
